Since its foundation in 1984 Voyageur has been dedicated to preserving the history of Northeast Wisconsin.

Vision

A Northeast Wisconsin whose history is accurately researched, documented, and made available to its residents.

Mission

Voyageur’s mission is to preserve and share the rich and deep history of Northeast Wisconsin by producing a relevant, attractive, and stimulating publication that shares that history through both academic and popular articles and encourages others in their pursuit of local history.

The history of our region is not only fascinating and important for understanding the present, but it is also part of what binds us together into a community. A strong sense of the unique history of this place will help strengthen our region.
